Micro Mini FLX tongue jack?
Greetings all,
I have a 2022 FLX I tow with a Silverado. With the added ground clearance, to tow the camper level, I have to max out the tongue jack every time to hitch and unhitch. Currently I am using a block to get the necessary height, but honestly I'd like to have a sleeved jack or something similar so I don't have to rely on the block if I forget it or something. Can anyone recommend a good upgrade/replacement?
TIA

I have a 2022 1708FB and had the same problem. I did upgrade my tongue jack to a Husky 82022 Super Brute Electric Jack with Remote Control - 5000 lb. Capacity. This jack did come with a sleeved extender but I didn’t like how wobbly it was fully extended with the extender.
I now carry a single heavy duty jack stand with a pan head. The only reason for the heavy duty rating is the larger foot print that gets that stability back. Mine is an ESCO 3-ton Jack Stand. I use it w/o the rubber pad on the head. With this jack stand I don’t need the extender that came with the Husky tongue jack. Very happy with this setup.

Much cheaper and easier to just leave an oxblock and a couple of short cuts of 2x6 in the truck bed.

This is what I have been doing so far. The problem I have run into is that if I need to drop it off at a dealership or someplace, I can't leave my Oxblock or I'll never see it again. Also, if I forget the blocks at a campsite, I'm left scrambling at the next place.
I suppose the answer here is "Don't forget them then", and that is 100% valid. As far as dealerships, use their dunnage.
I tend to overthink things.....
@Gunny, I appreciate the response and link. I'm with you, I can see the extension being wobbly, and yeah that won't do. Looks like a pretty good setup you have built for yourself with the stand!

My dealership has a huge pile of 2x8 pieces just for that reason. Have you looked around or asked them?

The two dealerships near me act as if dunnage is some kind of guarded resource, it's really annoying. One of them, when I asked, brought me some broken rotted pieces of an old pallet board. The other place has proper blocks, but I have to go ask for them and then wait for the mechanics to bring them out all stacked up on a pallet with a forklift for some reason...?
I was hoping someone would have a simple and effective jack that eliminated the need for the blocks. If not, oh well, not the end of the world.

LOL - someone must have been taking the blocks for firewood!

The extend a foot as mentioned above works, I thought this was OEM with all trailers. I had that on my old trailer, the issue I had was I had to remove it once the jack was retracked as the base sat too low when towing.
The flip only provides 6" more height, stays intact and flips up out of place which is nice. For those quick drops its great, when camping I use the blocks so I don't have to extend the jack a ton, which keeps the wobble down (as mentioned earlier).
When I store the trailer at home, I built a crib from 6 x 6 timber to support the trailer. My drive way is slopped and the jack doesn't extend enough to get the trailer level to open the slide and awning.
