Micro Minnie murphy bed

We have a new micro minnie with murphy bed. When we put the bed down it does not sit evenly on the end tables. we have had to remove the clamp as it pushed off the molding around the end table. Anyone find an easy way to get in and out of bed?. How does everyone use the storage closet each side of the bed

We have the 2106ds and have replaced the slideout sofa with a small dinette insert (2 seats with a center mounted table).
The front jacknife sofa we found is a necessity and the fold down, one piece murphy bed, which dissappears when lifted up to the stow position provides needed room in these 'cozy' trailers.
After a few trips learned to place clothing in the closets on the side of the bed with the bed up. Access is much easier and you can getcloser to the racks with the jacknife sofa setup not flat.
Thats the good news. To accomodate a thicker 8" (54"x75") foam mattress we extended the length of the bed to a better fit. Due to the pass-thru storage compartment under the bed and the length of the bedside table top, getting into and out of bed is a contorsionist dream. Since one cannot stand to the side of the mattress, a person must enter/exit by crawling into bed from the bottom. And the resulting height of the mattress means you almost need to hop into or outta bed. I am, at 79 not a great 'hopper.'
So, the bed egress poses some issues. Having said that, we enjoy this trailer! It is compact, 7' width makes it easy to maneuver, easy to park.

Under-cabinet storage is used for, on street side: LiFePo4 battery, Dyson vacuum, on curbside: stinky slinky extendable roadway, battery op drivers, mallet, bottle jack. Upper shirt closets, on street side: folding portable solar panels, collapsing ottomans, 12v fans. Curbside belongs to dw, so I don’t go in there. There’s no easy way to get into or out of bed. Getting in, I use the flop and curl method. This requires practice and will be in the next Olympics. Getting out, grab overhead shelf to sit up and scoot down until you can parachute out of bed.

If it’s nighttime, when you parachute out of bed, be careful not to step on the luan “floor” surrounding the slide out. I did that because I had to get to the bathroom fast. Soon, the now warped luan cracked all the way around the dinette, and the slide started grabbing it going out, making a blood curdling cracking noise. We’ve ignored the noise for over two years, and the slide still works fine. I’m too lazy to design a fix for that boo-boo.

Just a note to remind folks this thread has been dormant for 5-years until today. It’s likely the original poster, who hasn’t been here since 2018, has probably found the answers to his original question.
