I want to save some others a few dimes from the cuss bank by sharing this: If you do drop the underbelly and don't plan to put it back up for a few days consider at least putting it back up with a couple screws to hold it in place and keep it stretched out. I dropped mine on a warm day, left it dropped for 8 days until my next day off work , and when I put it back up on a cold day I discovered it shrank a bit. Also mark with a sharpie which way the aluminum strips were mounted if you plan on using the original screw holes! Got it buttoned up but the reinstall is a 5.3 on a pain-in-the-butt scale of 1 to 10 if the coroplast shrunk a bit.
Does anyone have experience with replacing the Coroplast underbelly with HDPE sheeting? It appears to be a better product, and is less expensive. Eplastics.c and mcmaster.c both sell 1/8" x 4' x 8' sheets for ~$70, with 3/16" thick sheets ~$110.
Not that it makes any measurable difference but, coroplast does offer some insulation value - after all it is corrugated plastic meaning that it has some air in between two sheets of plastic.
Again, you may not be able to tell the difference (I think it's rated at R-2) but there is some.
