Remove Underbelly on 2023 Micro Minnie 1720FB?

2023 Micro Minnie 1720fb. I want to remove the under belly material and see what is under there. For what ever reason there are already 4 or 5 patched areas. My questions are 1) is it worth it? 2) best method to repair?

My main concern underneath is seeing how well my fresh water tank is secured.

Not worth it. Nothing under there you need to see unless you need to repair a tank or replace a heating mat. I’ve patched mine with duct tape, which I use for everything (clean first with alcohol) I even carry a roll in my first aid kit. Tape over the mouth keeps an injured person from screaming too loud (clean first with alcohol; 150 proof). While you’re under there, take a can of expanding foam with you. WBGO leaves several spots exposed. Seal them up, and you cut your chance of rodent entry by 50%. Check your fresh water tank mounts while you’re at it.

I haven't disturbed my underbelly yet but I'm quite sure that I will need to in the future. I've bookmarked this for when I do.

I use Gorilla tape on underbelly wraps. I currently don't have any to worry about.

You should not remove coroplast (underbelly) to check fresh water tank mount. The L-brace that holds up the tank runs below the coroplast and is fastened on either side to the frame rails with tapping bolts. Before doing any exploratory stuff, keep in mind that the coroplast is secured to the frame. It will be a real pita to remove the coroplast without tearing it at the fastening points. Once it’s torn, it’s an even bigger pita to repair/replace a torn coroplast. There should be a very good reason to justify removing it.

I have removed and reinstalled most of the coroplast underbelly on our 2016 2106DS to install tank heaters and associated wiring. As I removed the coroplast, I took a number of pictures for future reference.

Here is a thread were I have posts towards the end of the thread explaining how I cut the coroplast and reinstalled it. My coroplast underbelly isn't sealed along the frame, it sets on the inner lip of the Z-frame.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Fred
