My guess would be that there is a remote nearby that activates it. It happens to my TV at home on occasion. When I leave, I unplug the TV. It's a pain, but I'm not techno-savy enough to change the frequency.
I had a bedroom radio in my Adventurer that I removed because I hated the on/off button that seemed to get activated at 2:00 a.m. by an inadvertent bump. The designers obviously had never slept in a motor home before. It is now a nifty little cubby hole that holds the remote, eat plugs, etc, etc. It required cutting a little board for the bottom to cover up the holes.
If you really love the radio, it's easy to remove and you could easily wire in a toggle switch in-line to prevent it's getting turned on unintentionally.
