Has anyone replaced the VCR that came in there '03 or older coach with a DVD/VCR Combo? If so was any modifications required? They are the same size so that's wont be a problem, but what about the connections to the video switch box?

We replaced OEM VCR & DVD with a combo unit. Same as Tom & Bonnie, used original connections and all works great.

To keep it simple make sure the unit you buy has coax output. If it has the three RCA output connections then you will need the three inputs on the TV or buy an adapter.

I just added a small $30 DVD to our unit. Our TV and switch box does not have the three RCA inputs so I had to buy an RF converter. Connected the DVD to the "antenna" input and selected channel three. Works great and is usable on either or both TVs by use of the switch box. The converter is a "pass thru" which allows the antenna to be used when the DVD in not playing. The combination of parts was cheaper than buying a replacement combo unit.

When I put the combo unit in mine, I took and looped the output of the DVD (3 RCA) to the Aux Input (3 RCA) of the VCR portion. Works fine.

I also used an RF converter box I got at Radio Shack for about $20. The switch box only had coax inputs and the DVD player didn't. It works fine and on my 19" TV I still get a good quality picture.
