Anyone tried Ozone fresh water purification?

Wondering about using Ozone water purification (with filter) for boondocking, has anyone have any info?

1. Is there a 12V ozone generator available?
2. Can/should an ozone diffuser be permanently installed in the fresh water tank?
a. what about excess free ozone exiting the fresh water tank?
3. Is there a boondocker setup available so a 5 gal tote of lake water can be purified?
4. Is there a setup where a diffuser "stone" can be inserted down the fresh water fill port?
5. I know that it takes a while for ozone to react with the fresh water in a reservoir, does anyone know what the time per gallon diffusion rate is?
6. Is this a practical idea?

Thanks for sharing your experience/expertise!
