Black tank valve Micro Minnie

Howdy all-

I have a 2015 Micro Minnie 1706. Have noticed the black tank valve handle has been very hard to open from the start. I’ve read many forms about all of the tips of soaps and lubricants etc. and now the valve is stuck closed. With water in the bowl. : (
I took off the undercarriage protector and insulation and discovered all of the drainage pipes and the coiled up “flexible” coiled T handle and valve assembly. WHY can’t the valve be under the carriage exposed like all the rest of the RV’s??? So discouraging-

So.... I will need to replace the valve and am going to do the grey while I’m at it. Has anyone removed the valve location so it is at the side of the trailer instead of hidden underneath In the middle it the trailer all covered up? I’ve seen a newer Micro Minnie where it’s right below the tire in driver side and fully exposed for emptying and flushing- sure you loose a smidge of clearance but WHO cares if there no more flexible wire 5 feet long and coiled tugging on the poor valve with hundreds of pressure of liquids pressed against it! Appreciate any thoughts and help -

Maybe can help others as well !!!

One reason for the location may be due to winter weather. Did you buy an RV with special winter features? That would require the drain which is full of water to be inside where it can be kept warmer. Very good feature for those who use their RV to go snow skiing or other winter sports.
The pressure of the liquids will be very little as it is determined not by the volume but the difference in the height of the water and the drain, so likely less than ten PSI.
