can I use a different water heater???

I have a 03 suncruiser 38g. I came with a GCH10a-3e water heater. I want to replace it and have a question about exchanging it with a GC10A-4e. This one has no heat exchanger. What will I need to do to not use the heat exchanger, or is the possible?

I suggest you just connect the two engine coolant lines you remove from the old water heater together. You can get a coupling at a home center or auto parts store.

I guess you realize you are giving up the free hot water that gets made from the hot engine coolant circulating thru the water heater heat exchanger, and that the water heaters with heat exchangers are readily available. Winnebago still uses them on new manufactured RVs.

I love the free hot water on ours. Get to where you going and the water is hot, no waiting.

Buy one with the engine heat option. https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/...heater_80-1375
