Filtered water outlet drip

My filtered water outlet on my 2004 Adventurer has developed an annoying drip. Is that unit serviceable or does it need to be replaced?
Thanks, Joe

We drink bottled water, so I replaced that fixture early on with a soap dispenser. I found it not to be of the highest quality and would probably have had to be replaced in the long run. I realize this doesn't answer your question it does give you another option...

Joe,
Due to hard water, we are required to disassemble our home unit every couple of years. Clean it with Lime-A Way and it's good for another 3-4 years. We added one to a trailer and found the entire upper unit for about $10. on ebay (new). Seems they are mid $20's @ Lowes/Home Depot.

Does the filtered outlet drip all of the time? I find that mine drips when the water heater is warming up. Could be the the check valve at the water heater is allowing a pressure build up.
On mine I just ignore it as it won't be long before the hot water is used and the drip stops.

I replaced mine. Home Depot and Lowe's and I am sure others carry similar replacements.

Mine dripped when I bought it and I couldn't get the service bozos to fix it.

My original unit had the valve handle that twisted. It began dripping, and per advice on this board I called Everpure and they sent me a replacement free. The new faucet has the lever style valve handle.

How long ago was that? Mine also twists to the side.

Maybe I will take a wild shot at Everpure and see if I can get a freebie before I plunk down any cash. Worth a shot!

If what your needing is the smaller hooked shape faucet next to the main one at the kitchen sink, IRV2 upgrades has a couple that would work if you end up having to pay for one.

Type in Faucet in the upper right search box and (2) pages will come up.
