Freshwater overflow

We own a Minnie Winnie 30V motorhome and when we are traveling we usually lose about one half of our freshwater supply. Is there a way to eliminate this? We usually dry camp several days per year and this problem does become a nuisance.

Suggestion check and make sure your fresh water drain valve is completely shut.

Find the end of the overflow drain tube and put a cheap party balloon over the end of the tube before you travel. Pull off once you finish traveling, so your tank can vent correctly as water is used or as water is added during filling.

I placed a plastic ball valve on the end of the overflow tube. When I get to my location, I open the ball valve. Obviously don't forget to leave it open when you are filling the tank.
