BigB has posted a picture of a 1/4or 3/8 inch compression fitting.
Is that what you have on the new faucet?

Or are you using a 3/8 inch tube to extend the lines to the faucet base?

Sounds pretty odd from here! Any pictures of what you have may help.

A bit of info from a semi-related posting here:
https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/...ml#post3920936

Post 13 mentions a different name for this item and calls if a "flair-it" for what I was calling a cone washer. It makes sense when I see that they will be able to use the same fitting on lots of different PEX connections thoughout the RV and that makes it much easier to install if one only has one uniform standard end for the PEX.

I would just cut those odd fittings off of the pex, and then get couplings that are pex "snakebites" on the pex end and the appropriate male or female fitting on the faucet connection side, and call it a day....
