I just took care of a similar problem this weekend. OEM Moen faucet in bathroom was dripping...drip...drip...drip. Turned off water, removed cartridge and took it to hardware store. No other cartridges in stock (naturally, they don't manufacture the same single-handle innards any longer) - that being said, the folks were supremely helpful at ACE and suggested that I replace the 'seats and springs'. After removing the cartridge, there are two 'seats' with springs under them. Sort of like seals. Any way - they popped right out with a very thin screwdriver. Back to ACE hardware to get the replacement seats and springs which fit perfectly. 4.03 (including tax) and zero leaks, works like new.
Just another option if your faucet is like mine...OEM 2004 Vectra 40KD.

A home, stick and, brick type faucet will work just fine,
no need to pay more for an inferior rv faucet.
