I go for trying to find the best info! And that is often only available when we look at the exact appliance we have and find the info for that item. There are some things that are the same on different heaters but there are often small differences, too.
If you look inside the cover of the heater, you are likely to find a brand and model number on some form of label. When you find that info, you can go two ways. Come back here with the info and we can do a search for the manuals that tell you what and how the heater works as well as there are often troubleshooting guides in the manuals!
Or you can do the search and go to the flow charts for trouble shooting things!
It may be as simple as a corroded connection or it may be some part that has failed!
But the best way to sort the problem will be following the chart and doing the checks it will give you!
