General heating question 2022 1708FB

Just purchased this unit last week. Planning on a short maiden voyage over thanksgiving for a trial run.

My control panel under the TV has a switch for gas heater and a switch for electric heater. Is the furnace a dual gas/electric or is the electric for the optional strip heater you can put in the roof A/C unit? Right now I have the electric switch on and the gas switch on and the furnace is hot. I found out yesterday the dealer never filled our gas tanks so heat was not working at all yesterday. What is the function of the gas and electric heater switches on the control panel. I have filled both tanks and with the gas switch off the heater is pumping out hot air.

Thanks in advance

Our electric heat comes out of the roof units...functions like a heat pump in a home.

I believe those are for the electric vs gas water heater. All furnace settings are at the thermostat.
