Microwave tray and ring off track after driving

After spending a lot of time centering the ring and tray which bounced off the centered area after driving, I cut a piece of swimming pool noodle to wedge between the tray and the top of the microwave to hold the tray in place
Problem solved and it cut down on noise while driving

We remove ours each time and place them in the drawer with the dish towels.

For years, we simply take the plate out, lay a piece of non-skid shelf liner in the micro, and lay the plate upside-down on the liner. Stays put.

We do something similar, but instead of using the non-skid shelf liner we just use a dish towel. We've not had any issues.
