Mystery Odor

My 2015 Winnebago Tribute 27B has just triggered a mystery odor. With the A/C running we suddenly smelled an odor that's difficult to describe. It is being pumped into our vents and is not a sewer odor, not a burning odor, but it's intermittent. When we turn off the A/C and open windows, it clears out. When we turn the A/C back on, no smell for a while. Then in 15-20 minutes, the odor is back. We know the A/C has been working hard the last couple of weeks as we camped in 95o+ weather.
We are camping an hour from home so before we call for local tech or take it to our regular RV guys, asking for any ideas from this group.

Update: A/C just shut off as sparks came down inside the coach from the A/C unit.
