Thumbs down NEW Maxxair Deluxe Fan --- less flow than 14y/o Fantastic Fan

I have 2 fans, a 14y/o Fantastic fan, and a brand new Maxxair Deluxe. After the install, we went in, closed all the windows except 1, with a roller shade between the 2 fans. I turned the Maxxair fan on high, and the blind moved a little bit, but when I turned on the old Fantastic fan, it billowed out, with at least 4x the airflow?? Now the Fantastic fan has no hood, just the vent top, but is the Maxxair Delux's cover that restrictive? This is totally unacceptable! The 14y/o Fantastic fan creates a breeze that can be felt, NOT the Maxxair fan. We purchased the best Maxxair fan that Amazon had, as we need it to work, at least as well as the, more than decade old, Fantastic fan? The Fantastic Fan, is so strong, it'll pull air through the ac vents, with the ac off!

Thanks,
--Rick

You need to check the CFM flow on each fan. Just guessing the new one has less CFM.

Yes, a cover/bonnet will likely restrict airflow unless it is very carefully designed.
