Reset Thermostat 2015 Grand Tour
We have a RV Comfort.ZC three zone thermostat in our Grand Tour. We have lost zone 1. Does anyone know how to reset this thermostat to bring back zone 1?
I have checked the owners manuals and there is nothing about doing a reset. I googled the issue and both suggestions did not work.
This is sort of an urgent issue. We are already down on AC. We are running zone 2 but it it 104° where we are so one ac is not cooling our coach.

A Google search turned up this answer. I have no idea if it's valid or not:
Quote:
Simultaneously depress the bottom two buttons (temperature UP and DOWN) and hold. While holding these buttons down, depress the MODE button once and release. Release the two buttons previously held down. Depress the MODE button once again.
|
Then someone else posted this:
Quote:
- Turn the thermostat off.
- Hold down the up and down button together for about 5 seconds until words are on the screen.
- Go to zone 1.
- Mode through the different settings for the Zone.
- Switch to Zone 2 and mode through the different setting options.
- Switch to zone 3 and mode to correct setting.
- Once all three zones are set turn the switch to heat or cool and then back off.
- This will exit programming mode and save your settings.
- I believe Coleman asks you to remove the tstat cover for this procedure, but I do not recall having to do that for any of them I have run into.

One would assume there might be a manual for the thermostat in the big bag of tricks that should have come with the RV?
If not, I favor looking at the thermostat for brand and model and then search online for owners manuals for that specific item.
Electronics are changing to fast to keep track, so getting the correct process for the specific item /model, etc. that you have can be critical to making it work.
Kind of like trying to get your computer to work the same way it did thirty minutes ago?

I went through our bag of tricks and the three 20lb spiral books. Lots about the thermostat but no word on how to reset it.

Good to hear the problem is worked out.
But sad to say, this is pretty common in the things we buy now.
My wife and I both bought the "same" phone about two months apart and find they are not the same!
With integrated circuits and programming being so simple for them to change it slightly, I never assume the info we get is the real correct one for that specific electronic brain!

Can you please share what steps the mobile tech took to reset the thermostat? It's really an important follow up for future readers of this thread.
Thanks

I'm not the OP but here's how many of us reset that t-stat. Either 1) do a complete 12V shutdown using your battery shut-off, or 2) unplug just the t-stat (wire connection in the back). Wait ~ 10 minutes and restart ...
