8’ Plastic Kayak-How to carry on 24’ View?

I’m considering purchasing an 8’ plastic kayak, 38 lbs. Is there a way to secure it to the ladder in the rear? I’m not able to hoist and climb up on the roof.I also have a metal tray hitch carrier already on it that I carry a cooler on. Ideas? Pictures?

I have one also and thought that it would easily be secured with a couple of ratchet tie downs. If you stand one end on your carrier and lay the kayak against the ladder then secure with tie downs you should be good to go

We don't have a ladder but have always just stored ours inside until we get where we are going.

We need to do the same thing for a pair of 10'. No decision on which one, there are carriers made for the receiver hitch that look like they'll do the job nicely.
