Customer service problems
Winnebago Customer Service needs to hire more people or make some changes. Made multiple calls and every time, except once, was told they were busy and to call back. A company this size should be able to take my contact information and call me back in the order my call was received. Also on automated line was told to press 2 if calling about a towable, so I pressed 2 and was asked asked if I was calling about a motorized product to press whatever. Very disorganized and doesn’t speak well of the company.

You probably don't know it but Sunday was the start of the Grand National Rally in Forest City. WBGO customer service will be tied up for the two weeks before, this week, and probably the two weeks after as thousands of Winnebago RVs and their owners arrive for a week of seminars and entertainment. During the rally it's all hands on deck with all technical and non-technical employees helping attendees and working on peoples problems.

They didn't have a Rally last year due to Covid so this year is probably a bit crazier than usual.
In years past, the Factory Service Center was booked solid all spring and summer until the snow flies. When we went there I called in August to make an appointment for the first week in May. So, there was no trouble getting in with that much lead time. And, that far north May 1st still had a little snow and fairly cold temps.
People going to the Rally like to arrive a few weeks early to have work done OR stay a few weeks after to get work done.
Plus, during the rally Winnebago has service personnel that will come to your RV to fix or diagnose things. That and all of the major suppliers of systems send personnel to spend the week at the rally - LCI is fixing slides, Atwood fixes water heaters, Coleman works on A/C units, Power Gear works on levelers and on and on.
Usually, companies like Safe-T-Plus are there to sell and install steering dampers and other vendors do the same.
You can always just show up and wait until a slot opens to get in and many people do just that. Our appointment was estimated to take 3-days and that's what they reserved for us. But they completed my list of jobs after 1 1/2 days. So, one of the RVs without an appointment took the rest of our time.

Here now at the service center in Forest City. Folks have been showing up all weekend to get a spot to stay. It's 6:30 and they have started already getting in line for service or the get an appointment. Looks like a free coffee and donuts line . Several folks have warrenty work to be done ,others are here for service . We have been the talk of the parking lot with our damaged front. This place is very busy ,so take a deep breath and pack you patients as they what it fixed as bad as you do.

And then we might also throw in that things are certainly NOT normal in almost any business I deal with on the routine things. Going out to eat at Whataburger is just a hit and miss affair, so getting RV work done is likely to be more difficult.
If you take a half million folks out of the population, things get in a mess!!
The new kid did not know where the straws were nor how to fill the container!

Those half million are not the problem (less than 2/10ths of 1 percent of the population). The problem is the hoards that are sitting at home making more on expanded unemployment than they used to make while working. Hard for business owners to compete with that.

Several got their service done and have left. We got in and will be contacted as soon as our insurance get them the report. They were very concern about our coach as well as us. They ready care and want to get you through the process as fast as possible and do it right. I love IOWA.
