Moving my rig west and would appreciate any recomendations on good Winni shops for future reference and routine work such as oil changes etc. I'm also interested in storage toward the southwest area of town if there's a good place you have used.
I'm going to miss my dealer here in PA. Harold's, near Alentown, has always treated me and my machine with great respect and service.
Thanks for the help.

I have NEVER used a Winni dealer for oil changes, etc. (I have known only one Winni dealer that did chassis service...). For chassis service, I have used truck service places (Truck Fleet, Flying J, Speedco are a few possibles) and mobile RV service guys.

Paul T,

Winnebago's website has a Dealer Locator.

There is one in the suburb of Wheatridge.

HI Paul--

Welcome to Denver. Not sure where you will be but the following link is a very good place to store. I have been there for 11 years--very secure, clean and the owner lives on site.

http://www.arapahoestorage.com/default.asp

As far as service dealers, it sure is hard to find first class, reliable service. I am using Freightliner for oil changes and K&C RV in Longmont for coach problems. It seems to be a 50/50 deal. Half the time they get it right! Well, maybe 70/30. If you need more help--let me know. When are you making the move?

John

PS With the last name Bell, the name of my dad's boat, back in the 50's in Michigan, was "Ding-A-Ling".

I second the recommendation for Arapahoe Storage. I store my coach there and have been very pleased.

Before you consider using Nolan's Rv, the local Winnebago dealer, go to this website and see their reviews, pretty bad.

http://rvservicereviews.com/

I would suggest All Stars RV Service in Louviers.

When we had gas motorhomes we had them serviced at K & C RV in Longmont (north of Denver). They have a location in Golden as well, but I am not sure if they do service there. Also, there is a Campingworld in Wheat Ridge (Denver west). Nolan's has been around for a while, but I am not too sure about their service dept either.

We bought ours and service at Steve Casey's RV next to Camping World. All Star is good for service and they have on site storage too.

I also use K&C in Longmont. I think if you stay with your MH and problem you are more likely to get things done to your satisfaction rather than leaving it for a week or two. There is a great storage lot (large) within a mile of the facility called Camelot. I use it and have had no issues. It is secured and patrolled. Propane and dump station on site. $62 a month.

I'm not a Denver resident, but I used Steve Casey RV which provided me with excellent, friendly and professional service when I had some hail damage repaired last year.

They are in the western part of the city.

I LOVE THIS FORUM. Thank all of you who responded. I will undoubtedly use one of the facilities that received multiple recommendations and really appreciate the help.

My wife and I are experimenting with reverse snowbirding. (Permanent residence in Florida but escape to the north as required in the summer.) The rig then gets to winter over up north as we enjoy the south. It spent last winter in PA and may enjoy Denver this winter. I have some grown RV sitters, (sometimes called children), in the Northeast, the Northwest, and Colorado who can give it a start once and awhile. Thus far things are working out pretty good.
