Driver side seating

I have a 2015 travato G and find the drivers compartment cramped and I can't stretch out my legs.Has anyone modified the seating area or have a suggestion for gaining a few more inches in leg room?

Greetings New Paltz,
Perhaps a seat with less cushion thickness would work? Here are a pair of racing seats:
IKON MOTORSPORTS, Universal Racing Seats
You probably could mount these on the old seat base, and with them as far back as possible and the thinner cushion, you probably would get an extra 4" of leg room.
