Extended warranty?
Hello,
We have two questions below regarding buying used and buying a warranty.
We just put a deposit on a used 2022 micro mini 1800 BH at a large dealer. We were told it had only been out one time; looking at it there was a fair amount of dirt but not a lot of wear and tear. ... At least at first glance. In fairness, it was a trade-in that had literally just arrived on the lot And they would not normally show it in that condition without cleaning it up first, but we really wanted this floor plan and there are literally none anywhere in the state and none coming anytime soon. And the dealer says getting a used one is literally unheard of.
We were wondering if it's worth getting a 4-year warranty for $2,700. Getting a shorter term only saves a couple hundred dollars so this was the most cost-effective. Our dealer keeps saying that Winnebagos are made so sturdly He has never had his own 4-year-old Minnie in the shop.
Any opinions on buying a used RV? My parents - who are very experienced, long time full time RVers - and are filled with horror stories form others, are very against it. The dealer will clean it up and run through it and before we pay anything and take it away, they will go through every detail with us. Hook it up to water and electricity and show us that everything is working properly.
The dealer seems to have a good rep at least on reviews. It is a family-owned dealer.
