Gas Class A towing… Ford V-10 vs. V-8?

Newer Ford Motorhomes come with the Ford V-8 whereas the older ones had the V-10. I would like to know the difference when it comes to towing my Honda CR-V.
I am considering moving up to a Tiffin Allegro 34 Open Road which has the V-8. Will that engine be as able to tow my Honda as the V-10 that is in my current 27N?

Those are 2 different engines and work by different theories; the V10 obtains HP with higher revolutions than the V8, while has less HP than the V8.
The V8 is a totally new pushrod engine design, which is used in everything from 3/4T pickups to medium-duty truck and vans, and of course motorhomes.
There are several videos comparing the V10 vs V8 engine towing the same load.

Pick your favorite and don’t worry. Either one will tow your CR-V like it’s not there.

There are slight differences in the suspension of the newer V8 chassis. A very few claim it’s a major improvement but most say it’s not that big of a difference.

The major difference will be going from 27ft to 34ft. But the bigger coach will come with a beefier chassis which likely will give you more storage and load carrying capacity.

Boy, I agree. Both are great engines. Pick the RV you want. Later model 6.8L V10s are better than earlier years. The 7.3L V8 is simply awesome. It is simple and powerful. Not sure if Ford still sells chassis cabs with a V10. I think newer models may all have the V8 and for me that would be perfect. Don't think you can go wrong with either.
