I plan to insulate behind the driver's pedals with Dynamat. Does anyone know a good source? Can it be obtained from a local auto supply store?

Let me know how that turns out, as I have considered doing the same.

I am interested to hear how accessable the fire wall is for applying it.

Are you planning to install it on the inside or the outside?

I plan to install it on the outside. It should be pretty accessable from the access over my generator.

I bought a roll of something that's 3/8" thick, foil faced, and meant as an acoustical and heat barrier for under carpets, internal firewalls, etc. It's 48"x24'. I bought the roll at J.C. Whitney for around $75 and used it for additional insulation on the fridge. BTW- I set a torch to it and it refuses to sustain combustion. All it does is get black until I remove the torch, then noting.
