TV Cable

I have a 2017 Forza. What is the best method to check if I have a loose cable connection? I have never been able to get a good picture when connecting to cable at RV parks.

Send a message via Yahoo to rk911
be sure to turn your OTA antenna amp OFF when viewing a park's cable connection.

Other than what rk911 said, you will have to just track down all of the connections and tighten them. If you main connection is behind a wall plate remove the plate and you will see the connections. You might also what to check the quality of the splitters, if you have any. I know one unit I had by replacing the cheap splitters with gold ones helped.

On the other hand the connections can be checked with a meter if one is on hand.
Coax is just two wires of a different form than we often think about, so we can do a check for all the things which a normal wire has like open, grounds or shorts in much the same way.
It will likely take two people to check from one end to the other if we can't see the meter from that end!
To test for a full wire connection (continuity) put a meter set to read resistance on one wire like the center conductor with the other meter lead on ground, while somebody puts ground on and off the center wire at the fra end, so that you should see a ground going on and off at the meter.
Check for continuity on the second wire ( outer mesh) the same way or by putting the meter on both inner and outer and having the far end touch the two wires together.
While about it, check for a short circuit between the two wires, by looking for no reading on the ohms scale while the far end is open.
Your coax wiring, depending on options you have should be here:

As Richard suggested and how I do it is to buy a spool of AWG 22 or small wire. Find the opposite end of the coax and tape the wire to the shield or center conductor. un-spool the wire to the other end and check with the meter between the tape and other end. There should be continuity on the meter. Repeat the process for the shield and center conductor. Without a connection check between the center conductor and the shield for a short.

I have a 2020 Horizon.
I get all kinds of interference when at old RV parks. My TV pictures terrible.
I gave up on the older parks with old cable.
I just use the OTA. If there isn’t any TV fine, I stream Sirius.

At the same old parks my 2007 Ellipse worked great with old park cable TV, heck it still have the old Sony Tvs in it. It worked better than my new flat screens on old cable
