Warranty Service in Seattle/Tacoma?

Can anyone say where to go for service? And more importantly, where NOT to go?

I am considering Uhlman in Centralia, or Poulsbo RV...

We visit Kent quite often as our son lives there, we have been happy with Poulsbo RV.

Actually our MH is in Kent now.

What kind of warranty work? You do not always have to go to a dealer to get things done. I've had basement A/C work done by Infinity Coach in Sumner - they are/were an authorized Coleman Warranty Service provider. Camping World in Fife replaced an HWH jack under warranty for me. Cummins NW for engine work and Valley Freightliner for Freightliner items. Purely Winnebago body/coach items, yes a dealer may be the best option.

FleetMan I didn't know that

The coach I am picking up is a new - but 2014 - model, and I'm thinking it may have some "lot rot" warranty issues.

So I can just take it to authorized repair stations for the various components?

What is the process for getting pre-approval from Winnebago - or do you have to?

It might be a little far north for you, but I have had excellent results with Roy Robinson in Marysville. If a diesel model, also several times, excellent service at Mount Vernon Freightliner, and once at Pacific Freightliner. Just call for an appointment first, for best results. I never had to get pre-approval from Winnebago, but if needed, Roy Robinson took care of it.

I had warranty/recall issues with Coleman for the A/C, HWH for the jack and Cummins for the engine. I got pre approval from Coleman and HWH and had the repairs done closer to home. Coleman was a recall issue, HWH forwarded the replacement part to Camping World, I went directly to the Cummins shop and had no problems. I did have a toilet problem which I repaired myself but the dealer, Roy Robinson in Marysville provided the repair part - a water valve - under warranty. If you have any Freightliner problems, I would recommend the shop in Mount Vernon over the one just north of Sumner, primarily because they are definitely more "truck" oriented rather than MH.

Thanks for the tips

I appreciate the notes and everybody's comments about warranty service.

It seems the Fife camping world does not have the bad rep that some of the Camping World stores have. That's great.

I guess my main concern is the slides - I've read a lot of problems with them, and it seems they need to be carefully adjusted and still sometimes fail.

Crossing my fingers on the slides and the jacks! I can fix almost everything else myself, and sometimes I prefer to, if I can get the parts.

Anybody used Uhlmans in Centralia? They are a Ford dealer as well, so I thought maybe that would be a good place to go.

To Maysville from Shelton - I may need a passport!

Check out Henderson's (Henderson's Line-Up Brake & RV Inc.). They have a great reputation. They are located in Grants Pass, OR. We are going to them in January. I chose them because of the 148 5 star reviews and postings by folks on this forum. I know Poulsbo had a not too healthy reputation at one time and I had issues with them. They may have corrected the service problems since then.

Least of my worries are slides and jacks. We have been almost trouble free in the 3 years we have owned our unit
