Got up on the roof of my Meridian to scrub it and I again noted that there is an unknown piece of gear mounted there. On the roof next to the solar cell panel is mounted an opaque tube 3/8ths inch long & about 3 inches long. It is mounted to the roof with the same white sealant at either end that is used on all the antennas and other gear up there. Anyone have an idea what this thing is and what it does?

Do you have a electric awning...could be the wind sensor...

Sounds like the wind sensor to me as well...it's either than or a vent, but my vent says "vent" on the cap.
This is really a picture of my awning bracket, but the blurred image is the vent... off toward the right front is the wind sensor.

My wind sensor in front center of the front cap - looks like an upside down top hat. I don't have a clue what that thing is!

As John stated the awning sensor is up front near the marker lights.
If you have an auto satellite dish what you see may be the GPS antenna for the dish.

Good one Tom....forgot all about that.
For my GPS NAV there's a square opaque sat antenna mounted almost directly over the drivers seat.
Maybe for the sat tv they move it back a bit.

Thanks for the ideas. It is not the wind sensor or the gps for the satelite antenna. I know where those are. This is located amidship, passenger side. I wonder if this is some Winnebago employee's idea of a joke - had a leftover piece of tube and cemented it to the roof.
