Do Winnebago dealers discount the typical 25% off MSRP? If so, do you recommend any particular dealer on the west coast?

Thanks

Contact Rick Lee at Hansel RV in Petaluma, CA. (707) 975 8323 for Internet Department.

We have bought 2 Class A's from him and have been treated very fairly.

Tell him David Thomas referred you.

Wayne & Roberta, I notice you have one of the exact floorplans we like. Are you happy with it? Would you do anything different? Do you think the diesel model would be more or less the same overall setup?

Thanks,

Bill & Cheryl

Bil

We are very pleased overall with the Destination. As in all motor homes, there are things we would change if given the option. As someone told me early on in my search, "don't look for the perfect RV, it doesn't exist. Find the one that best suits your needs at the time and go for it". I don't know if that is the best solution, but it works for us.

I assume that the floor plan with the diesel is identical as I did not see a seperate brochure for the diesel. We wanted a gas model so we did not look for a diesel model.

Things we would change are adding shelves in the cabinets, more drawers in the bedroom (we are having a small chest of drawers built that will fit in the small closet), and pull out storage under the bench seats. We will probably swap the Euro Recliner for a regular recliner in the future.

We bought our 27C from Rick Lee @ Hansel in early 2005. Think sticker said $82K and we paid $62K plus CA tax.

Hansel service stinks but I don't know your location and if there are alternate WI dealerships around.

Don't forget, there is only ONE Workhorse dealer in the Petaluma Area if you get the WH chassis. You might think about a Ford chassis, if that is an option anymore, as any Ford dealer can work on it.

Hansel service has treated me well so far. I know quite a few are not happy with them. They have made some changes so service is faster now.

I believe the diesel Destination is built on the Freightliner Chassis. Not sure who services them.

Any Ford Truck dealership, that is.

Well, as Ronald Regan was fond of saying ".....I could have misspoke........"

BUT...I have seen Class A and Class C RV's at Ford dealerships out in the front and in the bay.

I would guess that if they have a lift of enough capacity, a dealer, either passenger vehicle or truck or otherwise could do the job.

But what do I know...........?

I just had my engine (Workhorse, Winnebago) replaced at a Chevy dealer in Pahrump, NV. I have also been turned away from Ford dealers and sent to truck dealership (prior motor home).

Its kind of a crap shoot either way.

I bought my last two motorhomes from Altmans Winnebago. You should be able to get 25% off sticker if you buy one on the lot or if you order one. They are very friendly and service has been great They are located in Carson and Colton California
