Lack of interest. It never sold very well.

Nothing fancy about it.
Exactly what we wanted.

With the Promaster chassis there wasn’t a lot of extra weight you could carry. Plus with the single rear wheel configuration, it tended to sway a lot.

We were happy owners of a '17 Trend. Ours was totaled one foggy morning when an SUV ran a light.
Thanks to all the safety features of the Trend I was protected.
We went to order a replacement and they just weren't to be had. My opinion was the dealers did not stock them. We did see the two shortcomings of the Trend as: 1. very little could be pulled; 2: very noisy A/C.
We bought a used Via and are very happy with it, but they have now discontinued it as well. Other manufacturers have also discontinued the non-truck cabbed front diesels under 29 ft.

Our Travato must have the same AC unit. Even on low cool or low fan, the noise is insane. If you want to watch tv, the sound has to go almost all the way up. I see the Paseo was discontinued as well.

We have a 2014 trend 23L and love it. 14-17 mpg and has all the bells and whistles. No slides to worry about. There is a replacement fan for the AC and is much quieter. Yes it is a lighter vehicle base and that’s were the light weight pays off. Down side is the cargo carry capacity is skimpy but serves us just fine. 2-3 adults and 2 dogs. With a full load we are about 9000 lbs. Also, it runs on only 4 tires instead of 6, so no dual tires to deal with. The unit is only 24 ft. long and 7 1/2 ft wide so it wheels around town and parking spaces are a cinch. The unit sleeps 6 which I think is crazy crowded. Rear corner double bed, dining table drops for another double bed and there is a drop down queen size loft bed.The loft bed in our year coach has a rep for breaking down so we don’t use it but that was fixed in newer year models. The Promaster 3500 cutaway chassis is a remarkable vehicle with its transverse 3.6 liter engine and front wheel drive. This is the easiest RV I have ever driven and it’s a pleasure. On facebook search trend/viva group. Very friendly and useful. Also when someone posts a unit for sale they get snapped up fast. Not the cheapest source but you can be sure that the problems on those RVs have been address.

Oh, and as for not “selling well”, try to find one. They are rare as hens teeth and much sought after.

I found a 2018 or maybe a 2017 in a suburb of Dallas Texas, drove it home to Marietta, and feel fortunate to have located a Trend.
You are correct, they are rare.

Greetings GeorgiaBill,
They are a cool motorhome, aren't they?
Here is the brochure for it, and its Owner's Manual.
Welcome to the forum.

The Trend looks very much like the current Winnebago Ekko model - with a Ford Transit rather than RAM Promaster chassis:
