2015 31KE - Newbie
Hello All;
Bought our first RV. Wife is an experienced RVer (although with 5th wheels) and I've done it a few times, but we are both new to a class A experience.
I've just joined this forum and spent a lot of time on it as a guest prior to buying. I'm impressed with all the info posted and it was a great help in selecting my Winnebago 31KE...thanks to all you folks for that! I've looked for some newbie threads, but don't see any applicable (Is there a Newbie forum?)
It sounds like I need to expect things to go wrong, maybe not serious, but things just come out of the factory with some issues, that's just the way it is. Outside of odd ball unforeseen things...is there any advice to a first timer (with respect to what to watch out for, other gotchas on the maintenance front, or cool modifications)? Being new to the experience, I'm mostly concerned about harming the systems or avoiding common mistakes that more experienced folks have learned from.
Any and all advice or links are appreciated!
Thanks.
- Sdtrier

Congrats on the new unit. We just bought a 2014 31KE a few months ago. Already have 6000 miles on it. Great unit, we love it.

Sit down a few nights with the owners manuals and go over them a couple of times. Things will pop up and you will remember where to find an answer. Of course, this forum can help as well. Make a couple of close to home "shake down cruises". You'll not only figure out how to operate things, but you'll find out what to pack next time.
Congrats and Good Luck with your new Winnebago.

Thanks...they still are preparing our Winnebago for delivery and I saw the owners manual but don't have it yet. I am actually looking forward to diving into it.
And good to hear Artpe54, ours looks exactly like yours. 6K miles in months, Excellent!

You can go to www.winnebagoing.com then go to resources then manuals and diagrams and you can download the complete manual on the 31KE.
While your waiting you can study.

Great idea. Thanks dc8cappie! Going to the winnebago site, I see I need the serial number to get the right manual, but I can call and get that while waiting.
BTW, the link you sent goes to some search ad site. I did find the manuals at Winnebago Motorhomes.
