keeping tanks from freezing 06 Journey 39

We recently were out in teen weather and ran the furnace at 65 degree setting. I still had a problem with lines in the pump compartment freezing. Installed 100 watt bulb took care of that. I monitored temp in wet compartment and it stayed 34 to 40 dependent of furnace running. This made me wonder about the holding tanks. Are they getting heat? How does the basement water systems get heat from the furnace. Could I have something blocked that I should check?

One thing I forgot to mention. Underneath the bed there is an opening about 4" by 10". I can see light coming from the electrical compartment where the power cable is. What is this opening for?
