New 2020 2106FBS Micro Minnie owner

Greetings, and thanks for the add!

We just picked up a new to us 2020 2106FBS Micro Mini. So far we are very impressed with it.
This is my 3rd RV, I had a 33 ft trailer, and an Alpha Seeya diesel pusher before this.
We have a few upgrades that I will be working on:
1. Replacing the cheapo fans, those are showing up today - RVlovent 10 speed fans

2. Replacing the battery with a LiTime 230Ah plus LifePO4 battery. That should be a drop in replacement with a great BMS built in. I'm just not sure about how the Mini's charger will deal with it.

Anyway we live in Ashland Oregon, and look forward to getting on the road!

Welcome, glad you found us.

I know that current Micro Minnies have auto detecting Converter/chargers to accommodate LFP batteries. But I'm not sure about the 2020 model year. I don't think the AD models were out then. Though I'd not be surprised if there wasn't a simple mod or additional remote that you could use to get that capability.

Look at your Converter's model number... it will be on the inside cover of the Power Center and check it out online.

Some folks swear it doesn't matter, but I'm not in that group. I want my LFP batteries to get charged by Lithium capable chargers.

Thanks for the welcome! I did find the converter charger number. It's a WF-8955PEC and according to etrailer requires a
Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel - 55 Amp
Item # PD4655V that costs almost $300

Hmmm, can't you get a brand new complete Converter for about that price or less even.

Here's the new PD9360V 9300 Series Converter (60 Am)p that has FLA, AGM and LFP settings built in for $284.70 on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Inteli-Power-.../dp/B0CN7BZMHB

Maybe that's what eTrailer means by a "Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution??"

I looked up your current Model and according to the manufacturer you can buy an Auto Detecting 55 amp model on Amazon for $220.

I'm not sure how this new one would fit in that space.
