hello everyone. We are retired civil service folks living here in central Virginia. Wife worked at Defense Acquisition University and I worked for Army in Pentagon.
Thanks to all for documenting your fixes/improvements on your RVs. I have enjoyed scanning nearly almost all of the class A info posted. Wife and I bought a 2006 journey 36G 350 hp cat with 7.5KW gen, in May with 26,726 miles. Only documentation we came away from the buy with was the latest maintenance performed (new tires, new batteries, changing of oil and filters in gen and engine). I have started buying fluids and filters to change out, as recommended by you folks, before we take off for the south and west this winter. Dreading going under the bed to take off the access cover to the engine, but hopefully I can see the condition of the belts, and change the 2 micron fuel filter? Glad to have access to this website!!
There is also a grease zerk on the top of the fan assembly on our model. You can get under on kind of crawl up into the engine compartment and see how the belts look. Kinda messy though. Taking the actual engine cover off is not that hard. Just have something to block the bed up out of the way.
