New Member Introduction

Hello Winnieowners.

My name is Shannon, and I frequently travel with my faithful dog, Pluto. Since I got him four years ago, we have been in 47 states together.

We often travel in a 1963 Streamline Duchess travel trailer (very similar in appearance to an older Airstream). However, I also have a motorized RV I use from time to time, and I’ve recently become interested in switching to a late model, but used, Travato 59G or GL. From experience on other forums, I know there is a whole body of knowledge out there which I can tap into, and that’s why I joined this forum.

As I go along, I think I will probably have many questions, but for now, does anyone have any thoughts on the G versus the GL?

Thanks for any input.

Hi Shannon. We had 2 Travato 59Ks and enjoyed them a lot. The Promaster chassis was virtually trouble free, however I thought the 5” screen for the built in radio/gps was way too small. And the Tom Tom GPS was the pits. But other than that, we loved traveling in them. As we started enjoying longer outings, we just needed a little extra space, so we went with our 22M. But in your situation, the Travato is a great choice. We would get between 16-18 mpg on our trips.
