Don't be too impressed. Pretty much all battery chargers do this kind of thing.
The standard RV Converter has gotten a bit smarter over the past 20-years, but it's still plenty crude otherwise.
And, just to add to your confusion... a 30-amp RV has just that, 30-amps at 120v of available power when plugged in. But a 50-amp RV has 100-amps of power available.
The 30-amp RV has one leg of 120v power to equal 30-amps. The 50-amp RV has 2-legs of 120v and each leg has 50-amps available to equal 100-amps.
