I wonder why a lot of posted Photos are sideways and I get a stiff neck looking at them. I think these are pics taken with an iPhone. I think better instructions from the Forum administrators might help.
When uploading photos, images may sometimes appear to upload sideways. Forum software does not rotate images during the upload process. The reason the photo would appear this way is because the photo was taken vertically (usually with a cellphone or tablet) and the image file itself is in this orientation. The photo should be rotated using photo editing software before it is uploaded.
The worst offenders are probably from Apple phones however, there is an easy fix. Always take portrait photos with the Home button at the 6 o'clock position; always take landscape pictures with the Home button at the 3 o'clock position. Or use the photo editing software.
