2108DS LiFePO4 Battery Box
I made a battery box for our dual Battleborn battery setup in our 2019 2108DS. The box is missing sides simply because there isn't any room to spare! The end has a top section with breaker that I hope to rarely open, and the bottom for connections. I have handles to easily remove the unit for the winter months.
Wired and closed the top.
All wired up and running!
Making connections. I used a red terminal cover to help keep the positive side covered while I'm working. Normally I'd have the breaker off in this case, but just in case....
Running cables to the bottom compartment.
Wiring the batteries. I may eventually put a thin plastic sheet over the terminals if I can make it fit into the RV
Test fitting. It has about 1/8" wiggle room but the batteries will fit a little tighter than that.
The end has a top area for "permanent" connections that I hopefully can keep closed most of the time.
Simple box made of baltic birch to look nice.
